![]() Stylish application that helps you control the way you play music via your Mac keyboard’s media keysĪnother worth mentioning feature is the fact that you can easily control Deezer’s main functions like play, pause, select the next or the previous song, as well as adjust the volume just like you would do when using the iTunes app, with the help of the F7, F8, F9, F10, F11, F12 keys. Besides importing files from iTunes, you can also drag and drop music files, albums, and playlists from the Finder directly onto Deezer’s main window. ![]() Getting to grips with the Deezer application shouldn’t pose any problems to you as it bundles a streamlined interface that is composed only out of one window and four tab menus, namely Hear This, Playlists, Albums, and Queue.Ībove the previously mentioned tab menus, you will find a button with Deezer’s icon on it, that, once pressed, opens the Deezer local folder on your Mac’s HDD. Easy to use and streamlined music application Once Deezer is installed on your Mac, it will automatically import your songs, albums, and playlists directly from iTunes. Simplicity is the word that best describes best both the user interface and the application itself. A macOS music client that makes it easy for you to organize your music filesĪs many other clients for music streaming services, Deezer enables you to search within its immense online music database of over 35 million songs, to listen to online radios, as well as to keep all your favorite songs centralized and within easy reach wherever you go. Sorry for the long post, just wanted to give people here a temporary solution to this issue.Deezer is a stylish music streaming application that aims to provide you with a comprehensive environment for listening to music from an online database and from your Mac’s HDD. But you can just use your regular media keys on other Applications so it’s not really a problem lol. These macros are specifically for Audirvana so they won’t work to control other applications. I know Play/Pause already works with the regular media key, but I added it so it’d be easier to Play/Pause after skipping through songs to find something. Now the following should work (as long as Hammerspoon is running) Control+Command+Right Arrow for Next Track, Control+Command+Left Arrow for Previous Track, and Control+Command+Down Arrow for Play/Pause. Once you have Hammerspoon set up click the Hammerspoon logo in your menu bar (should be there if Hammerspoon is running) and click from the Hammerspoon menu bar. Also make sure Accessibility is enabled for Hammerspoon (you can do both by going to “Preferences…” from the Hammerspoon logo in your menu bar). I’d recommend having Hammerspoon open at login so the macros are always ready to use. If you’d like to have these macros too you can start by downloading and installing Hammerspoon. It’s definitely not ideal, but it’s better than not being able to do Forward/Previous track from my keyboard (and navigate away from my work into Audirvana just to skip a song lol). So now I can press Control+Command+Right Arrow for Next Track and Control+Command+Left Arrow for previous. I figured out a workaround for this issue using a couple of Hammerspoon macros.
